A very rare chance....

It is very difficult for Foreigners to join a real Geisha event. This house is the house of "The Australian Geisha". When you it look up and understand her story, that is not told at the event, you will understand how privileged you are to get a glimpse into the Geisha world. We were a group of four people, got a dinner served by Geishas and communication was done via Noah, an American travel expert and translator, fluent in Japanese. It was a very interesting evening with lots of insight and Geisha singing performance. It is a MUST-DO for glimpsing into Japanese culture. My special thanks to Sayuki making this arrangement during Japanese holiday season around New Year!

We spent a stellar evening in the company of our Geisha, Mari, and interpreter, Noah. Mari was a most gracious hostess, and our meal and beverages a pleasure to enjoy in her company. She is a wonderful conversationalist. Additionally, she performed beautifully on two different flutes and as a dancer. Especially we loved the fans and how expressive her dance art was. She even taught and played a traditional Geisha game with my teen daughter, to everyone’s delight. We were able to learn many details about the Geisha culture and leave with very memorable video and photos. As the Geisha culture has dwindled throughout Japan in the last several decades, don’t miss an opportunity to visit a tea house such as this one! Was a definite highlight of our stay in Tokyo. Mari, you are wonderful and witty and Noah, you were a perfect complement. Thanks also for seeing us securely to a cab, Noah. We recommend this experience!

Wonderful Experience

My husband and I took our first trip to Japan over Thanksgiving and wanted to experience its unique culture, so dinner with a geisha was at the top of our list! Sayuki made everything so easy. She arranged dinner reservations at a traditional tea house (with tatami mats, rice paper screens, and great food), our amazing geisha, and an English translator. Our geisha was so kind and sweet. She even performed a few traditional Japanese dances for us. It was a special, once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend it!

GEISHA Experience war ein ausgewogener, charmanter und eleganter Abend. Sayuki ist eine ausgezeichnete Gastgeberin und geht individuell auf die Gäste ein. Sie und die zu diesem Zeitpunkt anwesende Geiko war sehr professionell und liebenswert. Eine runde Sache, ohne zuviel Schnickschnack, rustikal und kurzweilig.
