It's a very long day, but for us it was worth it! You only get about an hour to spend with the monkeys but they are really cute and fun to watch. We went on a fairly warm day so the monkeys weren't bathing but they were really playful and they behave as if they don't even notice the people around.

Wonderful Snow Monkeys

Must go. Great experience. My wife and I an another couple were the only non Japanese participants. Our tour guide Mae spoke English and was wonderful. Also the lunch at an apple Prichard was traditional Japanese meal and was great. The almost 2 mile hike up the mountain is t hard and very beautiful. The Monkeys were wonderful. Should go.

The snow monkey park and lunch were nice. If you are expecting a tour this is not that. You pretty much get on a bus that goes point a to b with no additional insightful or regional information. The English tour consist of a Japanese worker that calls into a service using an iPad.

We didn't really have a guide, more of an escort on this trip with limited English. He never told us anything about the Monkeys or the place we were going to. This was disappointing. In the lodge building at the site we were able to watch a short video that told you about the site and the monkey. We enjoyed the lunch, but nothing was really said about it. He seemed like this was his first trip here himself. He was taking a lot of his own pictures.

If you have the chance to see the monkeys you should it was a neat place.
