Overview

Join our Asakusa evening tour when there are fewer tourists and more locals coming out for the nightlife. Eat local foods and drink alcoholic beverages as you mingle with the locals.

First, taste Sake and learn about Sake culture and the different types of Sake in Japan. Then, stroll around the beautiful area. Night time in Sensoji Temple is calm and stunningly beautiful rather than the busy daytime. The tour takes you to a Japanese Izakaya bar and a Monja-yaki or savory Japanese pancake called Okonomiyaki restaurant. Monja-yaki is a soul food for Tokyo locals! Let’s try local foods and join in the Japanese Kampai (“Cheers” in Japanese) .

Let's go bar and Izakaya-hopping among Japanese locals!

Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center
Maybe one of the most touristic places in Tokyo is Asakusa. It's traditional town from 7th century and this certainly remains in the atmosphere with Sensoji Temple, the biggest temple in Tokyo, being here. Due to this, Asakusa is very famous and many tourists come out here in the daytime, but how about at nighttime?

We start tour from Asakusa Information Center.

Great tour!

This was a really nice tour and we enjoyed spending the evening with Amigo-san! This is a pretty relaxed tour and isn't as long as some - I thought it was a good amount of time, some can be very tiring and this was nice and relaxing
Fun nightlife for solo senior traveler!

i really enjoyed this glimpse into Asakusa nightlife. We went to three different restaurants with very different food experiences: pufferfish sashimi, home style stew and veggies, and okonomiyaki, complemented by saki, beer and plum wine. Yukio was a terrific guide and gave color and context to each place. He is very knowledgeable, with a delightful sense of humor and a concern for his guest’s comfort and safety. I learned so much from him and he made the experience a real positive one. As a senior woman traveling solo, I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing this on my own at night, but Yukio made it easy and fun,
Good food and great guide!

I was very lucky to be a group of one and to have Yukio as my guide. He shared so much information with me - food, drink, customs, history - all with gentle good humor and grace. He knew that my earlier exposure to Sensoji Temple had been very limited and he made a point to show me the temple lit up at night and shared more history and traditions. I really appreciated his guidance (and his reassurance that the puffer fish really was safe to eat!) and insights. I am an older woman traveling solo, so it was wonderful to have such a great guide and to have the opportunity to experience the delights of this area at night. I highly recommend this tour and most especially Yukio as the guide.
Incredibly relaxing, tasty and informative!

We had an incredible time on our evening walking tour. Not only did we see some amazing sights, we also found the tour to be paced really well and it was super relaxing. Our tour guide, Tak, was fantastic and took us to some great little places to try fantastic food & drinks that we would not have tried had we not gone on the tour. Our guide was also incredibly friendly and wonderful to chat with throughout the night about all things Japan and Asakusa.
Thanks for a great tour!
Overpriced.

My guide was very helpful and friendly. I thought this was a very expensive and uninspiring food tour. We tasted some saki, and cooked Japanese pancake and went to a traditional pub. I feel that you could take yourself through Asakusa. The pancake restaurant was novel and may have been hard to find on your own.
As I was the only one on the tour, maybe it could be then tailormade with some adaptations. While the Japanese pub was interesting to see, a guy beside us was chain smoking as we ate our food and drank
our beer. This really did not appeal to me and the food we ate here was chicken on a stick - nothing new and the beer was Sapporo- just an ordinary lager. When I go on a food tour I expect to be inspired by new sights and sounds and encouraged to try different foods as the locals would eat..
